by Brian Tuck

manvendraManvendra Singh Gohil, an out and proud prince from the former princely state of Rajpipla in India will be starting up two gay magazines. Manvendra is India's first openly gay royal and has done much for the community by campaigning for same sex adoption and even a retirement community for queers. His latest project is Fantasy, a magazine for lesbians and Fun, for gay guys and straight women. The magazines will cover lots of gay reading goodness, from fashion to fitness, relationships and even a sex column.

Manvendra has been a rogue royal for some time now, almost disinherited from his family following the public disclosure of his sexuality in 2006, modern laws protected that from happening. A leader in the gay community, he has worked extensively on educating on HIV/AIDS amongst other community projects. Respected by many people within and beyond the gay population, 75 000 copies of the magazines have already been printed and he continues to pave the way for community visibility.
