by Brian TuckGay Spring Break? In Key West, of course! From late February until mid-April, LGBT students and friends will head down to the tropical island of Key West, Florida.
Parties are held on beaches, in pools, on boats and in clubs. America's Southernmost city attracts students from all over the United States and the world every year for this event. If it can happen on a beach it's probably on the agenda: music, beach parties, snorkeling, jet skiing, boat tours, paragliding and much more. There are tons of restaurants and dance clubs as well; comedy and drag queen shows to add to your itinerary before a debaucherous evening.
Known for their quaint and tropical house resorts, they tend to fill up fast this time of year, so booking early is suggested. You can always stay at the Island House Resort, a secluded and quaint clothing optional resort with pool, gym, jacuzzi and restaurant. There are plenty of clothing suggested locations to stay at as well, not to worry.
It's Spring Break after all, I don't imagine Gay Spring Break less toned down than any other Florida Spring Break. Although considering Key West is one of America's most accepting and open cities, that can either enhance one's sense of wildness or at least allow you to let your guard down a little more than every other day, it is break after all.
